The ‘FOCUS’ Leader Program was created, and is delivered over 6-months, by leading workplace psychologist Emily Johnson.

1/2 day workshops (including lunch & afternoon tea)

Our purpose is to develop mentally fit leaders via education, application, collaboration & community

1. workshops

Five half-day workshops exploring the latest research in neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and psychology, and their practical application in leading yourself and positively influencing others.

2. monthly VIRTUAL CHECK-INS & challenges

Five whole group, online, accountability sessions are aimed at embedding the workshop learnings. This will include group discussions relating to the monthly activities and/or challenges.

3. Immersive experience

One full-day immersive outdoor experience, in collaboration with Trek2Health, where the whole group will partake in a 10Km structured activity trek, a 1hr reflective workshop, and a celebratory event.

Workshop Curriculum

Expertly Guided by a workplace psychologist

As part of a small cohort of likeminded business leaders, you’ll complete an evidence-based, innovative, curriculum focussed on your personal and professional growth.

This workshop focuses on:

  • knowing thyself – identify your values and signature strengths, preferred communication style and learning style
  • realising the 3 areas of Self-Leadership
  • interpreting your mental toughness and emotional intelligence reports
  • learning the 4 dimensions of emotional intelligence
  • developing EQ 1 & 2 – Emotion Identification – building your emotional vocabulary & skilfully interpreting, regulating, and expressing emotions

Develop your cognitive fitness & become a corporate athlete. This workshop focuses on :

  • learning the Mental Toughness model and how this can be used to supercharge performance
  • learning how mentally fit people think and how this improves their agility and ability to handle multiple demands and stress
  • learning practical, evidence-based, mental fitness techniques to support them to more effectively deal and/or cope with internal and external stressors and challenges, that will enable them to enjoy greater professional life
  • practical self-care, and collective (team) care, strategies

This workshop focuses on:

  • applying Situational Leadership
  • leading as coach – 3 practical coaching frameworks
  • influencing in interactions – Critical conversations and assertive communication for relationship management and performance
  • developing EQ 3 & 4 – Emotion understanding and utilisation – building trust, rapport, empathy, and managing other’s emotions

This workshop focuses on developing:

  • your ability to identify and manage psycho-social hazards in the workplace.
  • a psychologically healthy, safe, and performing workplace through navigating the 4 stages of psychological safety in a workplace
  • your understanding of the 5 key functions to build and maintain a performing team
  • a measured way to managing social experiences and employee engagement

This workshop focuses on:

• how to leverage the neuroscience of motivation and performance
• 7 steps to designing highly effective behaviour
• the neuroscience of forming and sustaining habits
• implementing your program learnings with powerful ‘FOCUS’
