The Current Workplace Landscape
As you know, 2022 continues to provide unique challenges to organisations and employee wellbeing.
Employment Hero (Australian SaaS company helping SMB’s) recently undertook a survey of over 6,000 employees in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia and the UK to find out how businesses can best support their teams.
Topics to Consider
Their Wellness at Work Report findings cover a diverse range of employee wellbeing topics including:
- Mental health and the pandemic
- Occupational wellness through the Great Resignation
- Financial health in a fluctuating market
- The big picture on employee health
As stated in the report “responses sit on a scale from worrying to insightful, to pleasantly surprising. However, one message seems to underline it all; employee health in 2022 is all about taking the good with the bad, and approaching solutions with an open mind.”

Where to From Here
I can hear you thinking…great Emily but where do I start in order to achieve this mindset?!
My suggestion is to think like a scientist. Be experiential. There is no one solution for workplace wellness. The success of a solution is dependent on affecting variables such as the size of the business and its workforce, location, budget and available resources etc.
The trick is to trial different things, continually monitor, identify and nurture what is working and be accepting when things don’t go as planned.
Developing your workplace wellness solutions start with a conversation where you share your unique challenges.
